What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?

Direct Primary Care is a membership-based model of primary care. Instead of billing insurance per visit, patients pay a flat monthly fee directly to the practice, which covers unlimited office visits and direct access to the physician. It removes per-visit billing and the administrative overhead that comes with insurance, which typically allows for longer visits and more availability.

Do you accept insurance?

No. Gliderport Group does not bill insurance and is not contracted with any health plan. Membership is a direct, private-pay relationship between you and the practice. See membership pricing for details.

Should I keep my health insurance if I join?

Yes. Membership covers primary care visits with Dr. Cho, but it is not insurance and does not cover hospitalization, specialist care, emergency care, or most prescriptions and labs. Most members keep a separate health insurance plan, often a high-deductible plan, to cover care outside the practice.

What's included in the membership?

Unlimited office visits, direct phone/text/email access to Dr. Cho, same- or next-day scheduling for most concerns, and wholesale pricing on labs and medications arranged through the practice. There are no co-pays and no per-visit fees.

What isn't included?

Membership does not include the cost of prescription medications, laboratory processing, imaging, specialist referrals, or hospital care. These are billed separately, typically at discounted cash-pay or wholesale rates arranged through the practice.

Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for membership?

Membership fees may be HSA/FSA eligible depending on your plan. We recommend checking with your plan administrator, since eligibility rules vary and can change.

How do I schedule an appointment, and what about after-hours concerns?

Established patients can reach Dr. Cho directly by phone, text, or email, and most concerns are scheduled within the same week. An answering service is available for urgent after-hours concerns. New patients can request an appointment through this site.

Are telehealth visits included?

Yes. Video or phone follow-up visits are available for established patients where clinically appropriate, at no additional cost beyond the monthly membership.

Can I cancel my membership?

Membership is billed monthly and may be paused or cancelled with 30 days' written notice. There is no long-term contract.

Do you see children, or adults only?

Gliderport Group currently sees adult patients only (age 18 and older).

What happens if I need to see a specialist or go to the hospital?

Dr. Cho coordinates referrals to specialists, hospitals, and ancillary providers as needed. Specialist and hospital care are billed separately by those providers, typically through your health insurance.

How is this different from concierge medicine?

Concierge practices often bill insurance in addition to charging a membership fee. Gliderport Group does not bill insurance at all — membership is the only charge for care provided directly by the practice, which keeps the monthly fee lower than most concierge models.
